Man arrested for planning a 'Las Vegas-style' shooting.
They thwarted a plan by a man rumored to be preparing to carry out a "Las Vegas-style" mass shooting, according to a police department news release.
The 37-year-old suspect was arrested without incident Sunday morning near the Super 8 Motel where he was staying in Chico after investigators obtained evidence of his conspiracy, according to the statement.
The arrest comes after Chico police received information that the suspect threatened to kill specific people, specific police officers and planned to carry out a "Las Vegas-style" mass shooting. it is accurate, according to police.

Authorities said that after the suspect was arrested, he threatened to kill other police officers and their families and also hit a policeman with a table during interrogation.
According to the statement, other allegations of assault on a police officer and threats of violence were made against the officers.
