How is NASA's Artemis space mission preparing to return to the moon?
R. Gelfenstein - NASA's Artemis arrived at the launch pad at Cape Canaveral, Florida, and is preparing to take off for a trip around the moon.
It will be an unmanned test trip and should be in preparation for two more launches that will eventually take a woman and an African American to the lunar surface for the first time.

Engineers conduct final tests of the Space Launch System rocket and the Orion space capsule at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The supership had made some trips to the launch pad in March and June as a test.
The U.S. space agency plans to bring these vehicles back to the launch pad on Aug. 19. If all goes well and weather conditions are favorable, we could see this long-awaited mission take off on August 29.
