U.S. on High Alert for Possible Extremist Attacks
A, Gelfenstein - The United States could face a major wave of violence in the coming months, following next November's legislative elections, the possible arrival of more immigrants across the Mexican border and the Supreme Court's decision on abortion in the country.
Through a statement shared on its social networks, DHS warned of possible extremist attacks, as well as the possibility that "Washington's opponents will use chaos to weaken the country."

"In the coming months, we expect the threat environment to become more dynamic, as higher-profile events can be used to justify acts of violence against a large number of targets," the paper states.
The Department also noted that extremist groups pose the greatest threat to the United States, which is why schools, religious institutions, public gatherings, media and government buildings are listed as priority targets for such attacks. groups
The United States was already in a "high threat environment" and these factors could worsen the situation, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said in its latest National Terrorism Advisory System bulletin.
